EXCELLENTTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I attended one of Joe Donti’s (SOLUTIONS FIRST) seminars last Spring. When you move to Arizona, somehow you end up on a mailing for free steak dinners. It’s usually in exchange for a 90-minute financial presentation (or estate planning, etc.). We are within striking distance of retirement so we made the rounds. (By the way, the folks in the industry have a name for the guests who go to these events just for the meal…they’re called PLATE LICKERS…don’t be one of those! Actually go to learn! LOL.) We probably went to five of these events before we landed on Joe Donti’s group. How refreshing! Joe went through the basics, but also touched on ways we could protect our money that we had never considered. After his presentation, our group was left to enjoy our meal. They were the only company that completely cleared the restaurant afterward: no glad-handing, no answering questions, simply GONE. My husband thought it was odd, but I was intrigued. Clearly they were not desperate for clients and only wanted the ones who were truly interested in what they had to offer. We learned this in our follow up meeting with Joe. Not only were we selective in who we were choosing to trust our life savings with, but HE was selective as well. (And it didn’t come down to the size of one’s portfolio. It was a mutual interview process that also took into account personalities and communication styles, etc.) I liked Joe from the start: the guy was a walking financial encyclopedia, yet communicated his approach in laymen’s terms that we could easily understand. Financial consulting is clearly this guy’s life calling. But before we made any big decisions, we went back to our money advisor (at a large financial institution) and asked her about some of his recommended methodologies. She was aware of these tools, but couldn’t use them because she was limited to what her company had to offer. But she validated their legitimacy. We decided to pull the trigger and move over to Solutions First. They have been exceptional in their execution so far. I am extremely happy with their diversification strategy and will provide an update if my feelings change. This is a crazy, volatile market, and the last thing you want to do is be stressed about your life savings.
